The Journey of Prayer (for those gathered in prayer and for private times of prayer)

Lord, we come before you now to  pray for our Church, our Community, and the World…

Grant, almighty God, that our church may truly be a “community of God’s people who live the love of Jesus” in all that
we do and say.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.  (silent prayer or prayer from the gathered community).

Lord, be with the members of our church and community who battling trials  and afflictions due to  loss,
decline of health, or challenging situations beyond their control.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.  (silent prayer or prayer from the gathered community).

Guide, O Lord, the leaders of the Sapulpa Methodist Church and the leaders of the United Methodist Church as
they make decisions regarding our future and lead us through possible times of re-structuring and change.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.  (silent prayer or prayer from the gathered community).

Lord we pray for all in our community who are seeking  a closer walk with you; we pray for those  who are longing to know you and receive your forgiveness and love.  Guide us that we might share words of hope and healing with them.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.  (silent prayer or prayer from the gathered community).

Dear God, we pray for the Sapulpa, and surrounding, community, this may be a place of safety, prosperity,
and true community.  Especially we pray for our community leaders, rescue teams, and law enforcement officers.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.  (silent prayer or prayer from the gathered community).

Dear God, guide the people of this land, and of all the nations, in the ways of justice and peace; that we may honor
one another and serve the common good.    Especially we pray for our elected officials, our President, and all
who serve in the armed forces.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.  (silent prayer or prayer from the gathered community).

We offer these prayers through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen

I guess, it would be ideal if all of us will be able to join this activity. The world is facing a huge challenge nowadays. We are facing a pandemic problem, and everyone seems to be worried about that. But if we have our own faith and we believe that God is in control of everything, then we should really worry less. Let us encourage people to be part of this special day because that is going to be for our own good!
