Our plan for Making Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World is patterned after the Purpose Driven Life model developed by Rev. Rick Warren at the Saddleback Church in California.
Our first goal is to help people connect with Christ and the church. We want people to have a personal relationship with Christ and to be ensure their eternal destiny. We also want them to connect with the church and to become actively involved in fellowship, growth, study, and mission.
Our second goal is to assist people in finding a path for spiritual formation and growth. This path will be different for each individual; that is why we offer multiple types of Bible study, prayer groups, and worship styles to help meet these individual needs.
Our third goal is to work with people in finding their spiritual gifts and the ways they can use these gifts for ministry and service. We believe that God has given to each of us one or more spiritual gifts which makes their participation vital and necessary to the local church.
Our fourth goal is to provide opportunities for the members of our congregation to share their faith in word and deed. Our vision is to be a community of God's people who live the Love of Jesus. We do this by telling others the Good News of Jesus Christ and by doing all we can to serve the needs of the people in our community.
Finally, but in many ways most important, we strive to make prayer and worship the very heart and center of all that we do. Through worship and prayer, we stay in love with God and find His power to achieve the tasks to which He calls us.
