Summer UpdatesHi Everyone! Brace yourselves! Summer IS coming! Genesis 8:22 says," As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.” When the news seems to change every day God's promises are so comforting, HE DOESN"T CHANGE! What a great time we had with the Drive-Thru Easter Egg Hunt! We had 49 "official" registrations-many families chose to only register one child to represent their carload. Some of the comments we received were, "Thank you so much for doing this, we had a blast!", "Thank you, this is amazing and a very big blessing during the uncertainty everyone has been facing." and from a 2nd grader, "IT WAS HARD!" I am so blessed to be part of a church that loves its community and loves outreach. As we wind down the school year, we are revving up plans for the summer! We will be following the protocols that are established as restrictions are being lifted and will adjust all plans accordingly. As of this date, church camps are still open: Sonshine (1st/2nd) June 27-28, Growing in Grace (3rd/4th) June 22/23 OR July 13-15, 5th &6th Grade Camp June 22-26 OR July 13-17. If you are planning on sending your child to camp please let me know ASAP so we can make arrangements. What about VBS you ask? We will still have VBS-we are just working on alternative ways to host it, even if we cannot do it in the "conventional" way. There are a number of things we are needing for VBS. Please contact me if you can help with: empty cans - soup, canned vegetable- you get the idea- any size (rinsed please); pipe cleaners - all colors; duct tape- decorative, fun colors PLEASE check out (like and share) our Facebook and Instagram pages.
