We are delighted when you visit but our hope is that you will get involved. There are a number of programs and activities through which you can become a part of the fellowship of the church.
Welcome to the United Methodist Church! This is a course that is taught by our pastor which will help you more fully understand the history and distinctive's of the United Methodist church and the vision and mission of Sapulpa First United Methodist church. This class is usually offered, on various days and times, two or three times a year and is attended both by those who are new to our church and by long-standing members who would like to explore once again our heritage and key beliefs.
Cross and Flame Cafe (Wednesday Evening Activities) On Wednesday evenings, during the school year, we are blessed by the ministry of the Cross and Flame Cafe. The Cross and Flame Cafe is open from 5:30 - 6:15 pm and a wonderful meal is served by our Cross and Flame team. Following this dinner a host of programs are offered: choir, bell choir, bible study, praise team, children's gathering, and youth; but during this meal young and old come together to share life and faith. During this meal mid-week announcements (and prayer concerns) are shared and birthdays celebrated. There is no specific charge for this meal but donations are accepted.
Uniting in Membership Everyone is welcome to join us for study, fellowship, and worship; but we encourage those who desire to make Sapulpa 1st UMC their church home to united with us in membership. Professing Membership, as the name implies, is based on one acknowledging their faith in Jesus Christ. If you are uncertain about your personal relationship with Christ our pastor (or one of our church leaders) would be glad to assist you in your journey towards knowing Him. Those who have professed their faith in other United Methodist churches or other denominations can be received by "transfer of membership." If you would like to unite with us in membership, please call the church office and schedule a visit with our Pastor.
